If it is more for music, I suggest spending half or a little more of that on a decent stereo amp, and saving up for an AV amp with preouts, so you can separate the 2 (ie run music from the stereo amp, and the centre, rear, and possibly sub from the AV amp).
For the time being, a stereo amp driving decent speakers works well for TV and films anyway.

Any decent £200-£300 stereo amp will be far better for music than a £400 AV receiver.ÿ
