Hi,

Had to replace 2 of my Kef Eggs recently. Picked up a couple off the bay. They are labelled hts/htc 2001.3 on the stand, they look perfect, metallic drivers and silver connectors... Problem is they only weigh 1.6kg which is significantly less then my other 2001.1's and less than the Kef Website claimed weight at 2kg. Am I paranoid or is there a simple explanation!!!!

Cheers...

Hi

I appreciate it may come across a little strange!

Buying from ebay I guess has a risk concerning fakes or stuff that's been messed with.

Defo not been emptied, stands are attached. Just seems strange to be so different to website claims and earlier model.

I thought that they could be centres but I'm lead to believe the centre speaker is exactly the same as the other apart from additional cable guide.

Anyone else having visions of people up and down the country weighing their eggs, no, okay just me.

Just checked on the Kef website, the current eggs weigh 2.4 kgs, must feed their chickens well.

If you are using stands - would one be the weight inc plinth / stand and weight with this bit (taken off to fit the stands perhaps?) I imagine 0.4kg could be about the right weight of just the wall plate?
