The room where tv is going to be has no aerial connection. Wasn't botherd at first because it was going to be strictly movies and gaming. Now the missus says she wants tv on it so i need alternative solutions please.

Is there a network cable? You could go for a network tuner - such as HDhomerun.

Soopafly49:Never thought of that you know... its a rented flat though might have to ask permission. Do you know how much it is?

I thnk we paid about a hundred quid to have a refresh of all the wiring and one extra point installed, but that's London prices.

free sat/ sky? How long are you planning to stay in there? Sky probably install one for 'free' - though if you can fit on yourself, they can be purchaced for £30 or £40.

Most landlords probably wont mind if you leave the dish when you move out - after all they are getting a free install...

I have a friend who recently put one up at his rented flat. He lives on the ground floor.
