No longer need the info tried to buy the Pioneer PDP-LX5080D but was told it was a an error and was not the LX version shame was £1550.

Yes, it's still the best. That is, until next month when the new PDP-LX5090 gets released. Save you money for that as it will launch at around £2400 and is the replacement for the PDP-LX508D and the LX5080D. The only real difference between the two aforementioned models was the colour filter - one was optimised for daytime viewing but in reality there was no real difference.

You may find heavy discounts on the 8th gen LX models once the 9th gen is released. They will still be the second best tvs available.
