Hello All
I may already know the answer but thought I'd ask just in case there's a simple fix.
After running my Denon AVR 4308 very loudly for a long period of time driving 7 speakers at my house party last night, the auto cut-out activated.....in my inebriated state instead of allowing it time to cool down I just switched it back on again.....I know, I know, ridiculous.
To compound my stupidity I did this on roughly 3 occasions..........surprise, surprise I awoke feeling considerably worse for wear to find that after the night befores abuse that my amp is now refusing to work.........when you first turn it on the power button flashes green before staying lit, but the display is blank and apart form the power light being on nothing else works?
I live in Saudi Arabia and have heard a rumour of a Denon stockist which I will check out today.
My question is really this: will the Denon auto cut out have saved my amp from my stupidity or have I managed to fry my £1500 worth? Is there a way to re-set the auto cut out?
Any suggestions would be gratefully recieved, the 7 hour clean up was bad enough without the thought that I've blown my amp as well!
Many thanks
Cameron.
