headphone cable upgrades

hi my headphones are sennheiser 650 plugged into x-canv3 headphone amp also x-dacv3 the connection cable is the one that came with the headphones i have used for 6 months then i broke the cable so i thought i would shorten the cable and this i did from 3 metres to one metre and this made a big difference to the sound i was used to. more open better bass better all round------ as i have ordered new cable i really dont want go back to the 3 metre stock cable --- as one metre cable is just to short not practicle any suggestions on cable to buy would be very welcome and any other tweaks that might help welcome

I have a pair of Ultrasone HFI-780 and Ultimate Ears Triple-Fi 10 running off a Headamp Pico. Lovely, starting thinking about getting the ALO cable upgrade for the Ultrasones. The Headamp Pico utterly transforms the sound from my iPhone. Massive improvement. How do you find your Musical Fidelity gear?

hi the musical fidelity headphone amp is very good but even better if you upgrade the valves i did this with russian millitary tubes i bought on e-bay i have been using mf gear for years with no problems at all i also use mf dac and x-a100 mono blocks that drive my cherished rogers ls3/5a loudspekers a tough load for any amp thanks for your suggestions
