I have a 1.5m Chord HDMI and I'm happy with it. The problem is it's not long enough and ideally I would have a more flexible, longer cable so that I could hide it more. The missus has asked me to swap it for a black/brown cable that would blend into the wallpaper more, and by having a longer one, I could also move it so that not so much was showing.

Any recommendations?

I have exactly the same problem - The Wife!

The amount of equipment I have had to reject because it doesn`t fit in with the furniture / wallpaper!!!

She's happy enough with the rest of it, just the wires that are on show that are the problem.

I had to buy an Alphason oak cabinet to put my equipment in and hide all the cables.

Have to admit that the cabinet is a quality piece of furniture and it does hide all the cables which are many!!

Buy a long one and paint it!

Plasticoat spray paint. Simple to apply and gives a very nice finish.

I need a longer cable and don't really want to shell out £200 as it's by far and away not the most important part of my AV system.

Another solution would be to chase it into the wall. You wont see the cable at all then, and the wife gets to re-decorate.
