HDMI output on a pc ?

Hi there.

If it is of any interest to you, you can play movies, music and photos from any pc with windows media player wirelessly via a PS3 and it outputs a very good image. I'm not sure exactly how much upscaling it does, but it is a vast improvement on the dvi connection I had been using before the PS3 arrived. My PS3 is outputting everything through the Onkyo TX-SR605.

Of course you need to have a wireless router for this setup to work and a PS3 is only £300 compared to the £1500 mentioned above.

Just a thought!

Cheers

Sex, it's not the PC rather Graphic cards which has the possibility for HDMI connection the new generation of Nvidia and ATI Radeon cards have HDMI out so even if your PC not reasonably old you can buy one of these cards and enhance your viewing experience by connecting LCD via HDMI out.

Check few PC site for e.g www.pcworld.com or www.pcmag.com for review of these cards.

I run mine through a ATI Radeon hd3850 via hdmi and my sound is from an Auzentech prelude 7.1 card (which will hopefully have a hdmi add on! for video and sound)

It works a treat !
