HDMI Connections

Hello...

I have purchased an Arcam Solo bar and have it connected via HDMI to my TV. I also have my Sky+HD box connected via HDMI to the sound bar.

If I change the input on the sound bar to listen to music, the TV picture goes blank. Is there a way to keep the TV picture from the sky box but with no sound, whilst streaming music?

Any help greatly appreciated...

Hi there how are you?

The TV picture goes blank becaues you are changing patch on the sounndbar thus breaking the connection to the TV.

You could try connecting the Sky box directly to the TV via HDMI and if your TV has an Optical or Coaxial audio output then connect the TV to the Arcam with the right cable. Then when you change patch on the Arcam to listen to music you will still get TV picture but no sound.

Otherwise no I don't think you can do.

I currently have my tv on whilest listening to Key 103 which is rare as i don't normally listen to the radio, i have everything plugged into the av receiver though, couldn't you try and use the internal tuner on the tv ?
