Now that Amazon are selling the Sennheisers for £335 rather than the £275 they were a month or two ago, there's not a lot of difference in price between the two. (£395 for the HE-400)

Anyone heard both? What do you think? I've read rave reviews of both, some prefer one, some the other. The problem for me is that it's a 300 mile round trip to listen to both at the same place.

I'd probably be getting an NJC Audio Monitor I DAC/amp to go with them.

The hand crafting of that Audio Monitor II and the reasonable price reminds me of another company I just bought an amp from - took 3 months to get the amp because they're built to order from premium parts. I hope you get the amp and write a review.
