HD format (who will win)

Absolutely. HD-DVD is dead in the water.

As for buying a blu-ray player................ IMO I'd maybe wait a couple of months to see the new kit hitting the shelfs. After all, more competition will drive down the prices of the existing models even further.

I think a Panasonic DMP-BD30 would go very nicely with my Onkyo 705. It just so happens that the 6th March issue has a review apparently (I'm sounding like one of "them" now).

Spare a thought for all those not in the know that are STILL buying Toshiba players blissfully unaware of all this.

They don't get any of my spare thoughts.

If they're "not in the know" seeing as it's been on every major news programme/newspaper/website then they deserve everything they get.....which would be a now defunct DVD player 🙂
