Hi All,

My father-in-law is looking to buy a new MP3 player and is seriously considering an Apple itouch.

During his on-line searching he found a site that got him excited bidfun.co.uk

Before doing anything involving handing over money he asked my advice. I said "Dont touch it with a barge pole - they are bordering on being a scam"

BUT - Am I right? Does anyone have any positive experiences of using this or other Bid sites to buy goods below RRP?

I know there are a whole bunch of such sites such as bestibid, madbid, ziinga bidwizn etc. Up to now I've assumed they are just very profitable sites for the owners and leave a trail of disgruntled users in their wake. But am I wrong?

Thanks in advance

Serenity

PS Regardless of the above - isthe itouch a good choice for a senior citizen (ie 80+ )

I'd rather be safe than sorry. Will be getting my Ipod Touch from Argos.

Thanks All.

The problem of fiddly small buttons is the killer issue for him at the moment, hence the Touch idea.

If you do the maths - the amount those sites recieve in bids per item is staggering!

There are some Rich Whiz kids out there!

Best
