Hi, has anyone ordered the Samsung 7020 (46" especially) from Great Universal/Littlewoods group? And more importantly have you received it or have a confirmed delivery date?

I've had an order with them since Feb 15 for an 46" 786 but that didn't materialise, I've since ordered the 46" 7020 last Wednesday for £1699 but the delivery date has now been extended to the 30th but their website has advertised as 1 week delivery until today and is now 3 weeks.

Any feedback would be appreciated as I must have been the first to order the 7020 as it only appeared on the great universal website last Wednesday and the price went up a couple of days after that to over £2000.

Regards

Last Wednesday was weird, the new samsung ranges were incredibly cheap on great universal but didn't hit littlewoodsdirect until a couple of days later, at which point the Great Universal prices were still cheaper (which never happens!) and then the prices jumped 25%, luckily I'd placed my order and with cashback, 10% discount chasback reward I got my 46" 7020 for under £1500.

I say got but obviously havent received it. The sites clearly show the lead timescales but that's never reflected in the delivery itself and as I've been waiting nearly two months now I think there's a real problem which I believe is in contravention with some advertising and trading laws - I just don't know which ones!!

I wouldn''t touch either of those catalogues ever again- doubt you will ever see your tvs!

I ordered a projector from Great Universal in Feb.

They changed the date 5 times and its still there waiting with no guarantee i will ever get it at all -that came from one of the senior management too !.The last date is now the end of April - only left the order there now for curiosity to see how many more date changes it does .

I ended up buying a new one that came with 2 days .

Worse company i have ever dealt with for telling lie after lie .

I'm glad the 7020 is newly released as I'm fairly confident it will arrive at some point, unlike my original 786 which was going end of life - I always got the impression they'd allowed me to place the order twice with no real confidence they could ever deliver.

my main problem with them is the misleading lead times on their websites ie stock seven days, within seven days, 14 days, 3 weeks etc.

I ordered the 7020 when it said 7 days, my immediate delivery date was the 20th April, which at time of order was 4 weeks away. And that 7 days was on the website until a few days ago when it changed to 3 weeks. My delivery date is the 30th of April, which is nearer 4 weeks.

Sometimes the info on the site is updated daily, so someone is being given information on stock levels delivery times but it isn't being passed on to the customer and it is very misleading and massively annoying.

In fact I enquired yesterday about ordering another one and the representative said delivery would be on the 15th of April, when I reminded her that I had one on order from the 25th of March and that I could it expect on the 30th of April she essentially said 'tough'.

You can imagine how the rest of the conversation went!

Anyway I've got a call set up with the director of customer services and will be using the posts received here in the hope of getting delivery sooner or at least ensuring their website remains accurate. Thank you.
