has anyone got this album - which i think has great songs by a great band who rock live but i think its the worst recording i own - everythin is over blown and sounds distorted/compressed - i can't believe it was really mixed this bad

I'm afraid it was mixed like that. When I saw your post I stopped my current track and gave it a play from 320kbps MP3 and it was awful. I went over to my drawers abd dug out the CD. Still sounds awful. I only played a couple of tracks.
It's not the worst recording I own. That honour has to go to Mr Edison himself on 'Mary Had A Little Lamb', but that was in 1877.

Good band, bad cd production but everytime I listen to 'living for the weekend' I end up going out!

totally agree! really like some of the songs, but oh my god, the production is so bad it sometimes makes me laugh.
