With all the talk of Gladiator, the other Ridley Scott flim out on Blu this week is Hannibal.
The picture is 'filmic', there is little DNR or edge enhancement, the print looks like it came from the same master as the DVD, as it is truthful to the film shown in the cinema.
It has good depth and contrast, while the colour is natural, it is sharp with a hint of grain at all times. The print looks a little brighter than I remember the film looking but that is just my personal opinion.
There are dust and specs on the picture and noticeable movement to the negative, which was there in the DVD, hence my belief that it uses the same master.
I enjoyed the film and this Blu-ray is of good quality, (I did prefer the picture quality to the Gladiator disc), even if there are little extras included.
