I was a big fan of the 1st series, really enjoyed series 2 but boy am I struggling with series 3.

They've gone all wooden - the sounds still nice bassy and atmospheric. But the acting?

I'd expected the players to settle into their roles instead it's just a group of people in poorly lit areas presenting monologues to each other.

A real pity I really liked the show but it's taking itself a little to seriously. And maybe sticking too closely to Red Dragon the movie.

Anyone else watch it?

I loved S1 & 2, but ep 1 of S3 didn't grab me. I need to make time to watch more, but sometimes I feel these series just go on a bit longer than they should.

This series really isn't as good as the previous two. It's also filmed to be very dark, which when the signal is compressed for the TV channel, means a lot of loss of detail. To be honest, I'm not surprised it got cancelled.

Netflix and Amazon have passed on it as well so I think it is pretty much dead.

Brian Fuller (chap who makes it) has moved on to another project, so it's pretty dead. I agree, the first two seasons were ace but the third has lost something.
