Can anyone recommend a good pair of earphones to use with my new ipod touch?
Looking to dump the ones which came with it for something better that doesn't cost the earth e.g. £20-£30ish. Any suggestions?

Sennheiser CX300 are prob a good bet, only £25 now on amp3 site, or if you want to splash the cash i've always like the Shure ones.

If you shop around (Play.com seem to have regular offers) you can get the Award-winning Shure SE110 earphones for under £30 - we gave them an Award at £80!

Clare Newsome" you can get the Award-winning Shure SE110 earphones for under £30"

Those were the ones I meant and at that price i'd choose the Shure over the CX 300's (it's cheap enought to ask santa for a pair too!!, <searching play now for a pair for me as we speak !!

Bought a pair and wasn't really impressed with them, maybe I was unlucky to purchase a faulty pair

I'd go for the Senns over the Shures (having had CX300 and E3c), but at those prices you could have both!

Where did you buy them? There are an awful lot of fakes around (even through places like Amazon Marketplace...) I have a geniune pair, and they sound rather good...

I can recommend Sony MDR EX71 ~ I've had these for a few years now (I think you can still get them and they are around £15 now, I think I paid £30) and they are still working well. Usually my earphones don't last that long.
