Hi,

I've changed my mind on the onkyo and decided instead to go for a Pioneer SC-LX75.

Does anyone have any experience as to what speakers go well with this receiver or advice on what I should go for?

Thanks

Rob

Well I've been looking at the MA Apex set but ideally would like to spend about £1500 give or take

If you can afford the Apex, go for it. Other option is the new B&W MT30 system:

Definitely demo your options before making a purchase.

You could get some good discounts in the Sound & Vision show this weekend in Bristol.

If you can afford the Apex then go for them, after a demo.

I had the LX72 with the Apex and then moved to the LX85 and they sound great with both.

The 85 does sound better than the 72 and with the change from ICE amplification to DirectFet I believe the sound is slightly warmer on the newer Pioneer.

I never thought the 72 was bright though.
