Bit of a con, as the glass is just acting as a source of reverberation but interesting nonetheless...

i.e. there's a sound generator in the base and the glass is used to amplify the sound....

I think they're aesthetically very pleasing indeed, would love to "see" what they sound like... Top marks for style, but are they compromising on the sound...?
