Getting a freeview signal to where there is none...

Advice please on behalf of my father in law. He wants to buy a small flatscreen to replace the CRT portable in his kitchen, which has a small antenna-style ariel. Freeview would of course require a stronger signal than this is likely to provide, but he doesn't fancy the idea of running another ariel cable from his loft or living room. Is there any decent video-sending device that could allow him to poach the Freeview signal from the ariel point in his living room? I know there are some on the market but aren't they susceptible to interference when, say, someone walks past them?

Maplin sells a range of video senders which should solve the problem for him, as you can discover here. They're not too expensive, typically £30-£40.

I agree. You might also try a decent indoor aerial as well. Depends on transmittter location but you might be surprised.
