freeview reception

i only seem to be able to pick up a handful of the freeview channels on my new TH37PX80, i live nr guildford and should be able to get them all i think, also cannot get channel 5..........so i assume an ariel problem?

anyone know any good and cheap ariel installers nr guildofrd?

Check out the website for the Confederation of Aerial Industries. They should be able to put you in touch with a good aerial installer around Guildford. There's a simple search function on the site.

I live in North Wales and have a high gain aerial aimed at winter hill. I have a TH42 PX70 and get about half the Freeview channels. My local aerial installer said I could not expect any better and quoted me £350 plus for a higher gain aerial with no real guarantees for Freeview reception. This at least explains why my TV card in my PC never worked very well!!!. Roll on Freesat.

I used that search after I had some work done as the fitter was quite bad - said he was CAI but turned out not to be. So a couple of calls later..... that'll teach him for damaging my roof and not securing my aerial properly!

I used a company that was recommended to me and had it all fixed up last week, they weren't CAI registered either as they are very new, but were honest about that and did a great job - the fitter was quite experienced. The clincher was the free quote deal aerialforce have to come out and look and see what they could do to get the aerial repaired.

i must be extremely lucky just whacked my rf lead into the tv and it worked straightaway, i thought i needed some sort of digital aerial!?!
