Yep - but be warned, the Sky box gets a bit narky about being swapped out (and of course don't do it when you're expecting to record something!!) and typically hangs when you reconnect, so you have to do the whole 'mains plug out, leave it a few minutes, reconnect' thang....

change your lnb for a quad lnb if you havn't got one fitted! then run extra feed/s for the freesat then no need to worry about swapping cables or narky sky boxes

edit- though from a safety point of view, if your not confident/competent at working at heights/up ladders get a pro in

Hi daveh75

We get our's installed today by Sky. Can they, if asked, install a 'quad lnb' or are they not allowed to do that?

hmmm, that's a difficult one to answer! if it's a sub contractor that's installing it they almost certainly will yes for a fee of course,

but if it's one of sky's in house installers, it will depend how much of a jobs worth he is tbh. no there not really allowed to, but some will to earn a bit of cash on the side.

the other thing to mention, is that sky now more often than not just fit quad lnb's so you may not need to pay extra for an lnb and just pay them for the cabling, unless your intending to do that yourself of course

Hello, I have just changed my single Lnb for a Quad and was supprised how easy it was. I got the Quad from E-Bay for £10, run three feeds from the Quad. One to sky and two to my Hamax Pvr when it arrives? I save pounds by doing it my self.
