I loved 'Parachutes', didn't mind 'A rush of blood to the head', but after that, forget it. Amazing how quickly a band can believe their own hype and dissappear up their butts. The drivel they churn out now is contemptable.

Agreed. The only album I ever liked of theirs was Parachutes.
I remember when it came out (2000 wasn't it?) I thought their sound was quite original. But it didn't take Chris Martin long to turn into a quasi-Bono character intent on saving the planet.
Perhaps he should have just stuck to being a singer/songwriter!
I think A Rush of Blood To The Head is the best album, and there's a bit of that on the live album.
For the few (!) fans on this thread the recent MTV HD film of Coldplay live at Saitama, Tokyo is very impressive. Actually, it looks amazing whether you like Coldplay or not.
I like their uplifting, anthemic, confident sound and would say each album has been better than the last one. 'Low' and 'Viva la vida' are my favourite tracks.
