The Focals are very sensitive, so volume shouldn't be a problem. I believe they drop to 3 Ohms, but the MF has quite a lot of current available, so should be able to control them reasonably well.

EDIT. As said above, an amp with more power / current (eg. M6i) will of course improve matters, especially in the bass department.

I tried it out with 826v was ok. M6i did a better job though, bass was more controlled and sound was fuller. The combination was great for me, really enjoyable combination!

If you are about to purchase both speakers and amp, try 826v and M6i probably same ballpark budget as 836v and M3i.

I run my 826v pair with a Naim Uniti 2 rated at 70 watts into 8 ohms.

They sound great and have real width and depth to the soundstage.

the Naim really lets the vocals sing out.

how about i keep my focal 726v and upgrade my m3i to m6i? will it sound different?

This would be my preference, though others will disagree.....but I would rather have a Sugden A21SE.

Remember, all we can give is "opinions", with no guarantee that they are right for you......can you go and listen?

Yes that's exactly what you should do .It is better to increase the amp power to given speakers than to stay with the same amp and buy a more

demanding power speakers such as the the 836V . To tell you true I heard once the 826V with the M3i and sound was pretty good .

I agree. You've got very good speakers and better amp lift the performance even higher... so change the amp if you like the MF/ Focal sound.

i decide to buy 826w instead of 836v, it use w cone that even better than focal aria flax cone, and it seems that focal w cone can handle the MF better

I just picked up a pair of Focal 836V's in piano black finish-easy to drive with my YBA A100 integrated.
