i mean how can i get the flac files onto an audio cd that will play on my marantz cd6003 ? ive tried burning to disc , but the 6003 says no file ?? ta..

You're gonna have to burn it in a format the CD player will recognise....like .wav

It's time consuming, but the safest way would be to download the free FLAC Frontend decoder/encoder to extract the original WAVs from your files, then burn to CD as PJPro says.

There is no point to burn .wav files to CD because they will take exactly the same size as if you burn them as normal Audio CD.

got it sorted , downloaded flac , and burrrn . perfect , as good as the original once burned onto disc

It does sort of defeat the object of computer based audio. You'd be better off selling the CDP and finding a way of playing the .flac files through your hifi using a media player. Just a thought.

I use Ashampoo Burning Studio 2005- just select FLAC like any other file, and it burns it to disc with no drama. They play perfectly in my Roksan CD player!
