So finally got round to getting my first proper Home Cinema setup and having it delivered on Tuesday.

Got a three tier stand. TV on top. The most user convenient positions would be sources in the middle and centre on the bottom. But is it better sound-wise if I have the centre on middle shelf and sources on bottom.

Obviously I can fiddle but would be nice to get it right first time.

the centre should be as close as possible to the height of your front left and right speakers...

Centre on the middle shelf angled up towards ear height

Alternative if TV is not too high and it would bring centre speaker nearer ear height . consider a shelf above the TV and put the centre speaker on that.

P.S I found a portable TV bracket is good in this situation as it brings it forward to the front plane of the TV
