Just watched The Do Over, on Netflix 4K and didn't notice any difference to any of the other 4K or HD content. It still looked good, dunno what I was expecting tbh.

maybe my HDR update hasn't worked?

What have other people's experiences been like?

What tv?

Sony KD-65XD7505

ive got the picture just how I want it when viewing SKY, but the HDR stuff on Netflix just looks pale in comparison, I was sort of expecting the 4K HDR to pop with colour. But the colours have less impact.

i have tried a few other films on Netflix, and the colour and clarity is there, it seems like the first few things I watched were filmed dark or pale,

I'll keep experimenting with the settings, one small step at a time, but overall it's a fab piece of kit.

This was the very reasonI returned my Sony set this year. HDR is not properly displayed by current TV sets. The Sony ZD9 may be the best yet.

There's very little HDR material available at the moment, and hd and and 4K stuff looks fantastic. So, I'll keep my Sony, and hope some firmware update will improve the HDR performance in the future.

Further to my last post.

i tried Netflix again. Selected marvels Daredevil in HDR, and the colours are excellent.

I'm not sure whether or not the broadband speed will or could effect the colour at all,

its all a learning curve

lucky. My tv can't get Netflix HDR thanks to Samsung not bothering to support the 2015 TVs with it

I recently purchased a Sony KD49XD7005 and I've viewed supposedly Netflix HDR shows through it. Looks fab but I'm not sure what I'm looking at in all truth. My Sony is supposed to be an HDR set (it was on the box in big bold black letters) but I've looked at some comments concerning it and people are saying it needs an as yet unreleased firmware update? If I can watch HDR content does this mean it's already capable of handling HDR or am I just viewing "bog standard" 4K?? Sorry if I've strayed off thread a bit.

Spent an hour loading the update onto USB, it was totally pointless. The update had been a success already. So I did a factory reset, and the update remained in place. So I put Netflix on without touching any of the settings and HDR content now pops as I'd hoped it would.

Excellent.
