Finally happy enough with the state of the flat to start taking photos so here are a coupe of the spare room (i.e. cinema) and then a load of the hifi.

The screen below was originally a floor standing screen, but with a little inventiveness i converted it to a hanging screen (by inventiveness read 2 shelf brackets from B&Q).

Sony BDP-S550
Onkyo 505
Xbox 360
Themescene H56
Some cables (which really need tidying up)
Dinosaur cushion (Gayle assures me its vital)

Only thing left to do is move the speakers a little further apart (currently around 6ft apart) and then get rid of the excess cable.

Thanks for looking

JohnDuncan:Isn't there supposed to be a young woman reclining on the floor reading a magazine?

She is reclining elsewhere at present!

Very good spider pics but, boy, my skin hasn't crawled this much for months. You're a brave man.

Nice system! I'd be inclined to get a bigger rack for the AV to hide to cables a little.

Thanks guys,
i agree on the av rack, but i think a dining table needs to take priority at the moment!

I'll possibly get a double of the one for the hifi.

Gayle thinks we should just get a little box and put the spare cable in it!

Hi Ed

Looks fantastic. I would probably stay up all night listening to that set up...........or would I stay up out of fear in case the spiders escaped?

It is better sound in this flat or the old one?

Much much better in this one. I wouldn't have believed that it would make that much difference, but no bay window and much less junk in the room has worked wonders.

You're welcome to have a listen one day.

According to recent evidence.this dinosaur should be 30% lighter-please reshoot

idc:Very smart Eddie. One room for hifi and another for av, I'm jealous of the space you have. Moon kit always looks good.

Yes, moving out of glasgow and somewhere cheaper has been brilliant for space! Every room is reasonable to big.

@Ravey Gravey Davy , I will try and get it to sit still for a photo shoot.

Just wall mounted the tv in the livingroom after having it in the bedroom.

ended up with 3 4 inch screws in a joist rather then how it actually says to do it. Given the tv is closer than on the previous bracket which only used 2 screws i'm sure it will be fine (less leverage). If its not thats what home insurance is for.
