Steve has made a lot of ground on me at the top of the league in recent weeks, so I will be nervously looking over my shoulder!

Whilst at the bottom, well done to Clare who has escaped the wooden spoon position... for now anyway [;)]

Looking back, I was doing about okay till I ran out of transfers (several months ago). So lesson learnt for next year: stop tinkering every week-end and go for the longer-term approach... Still, it was fun and I enjoyed it greatly. :)

From being a long way behind at the start, i slowly crawled back your lead. I then made a gamble in using up most of my subs, which worked short term as i think i led for a week or two, but the gamble hasn't paid off as i've been out of transfers for a while, and quite a few of my players have missed the last few games with injuries (and more than a couple are out for the season), so i can't see me making up the necessarey points to catch you.

Same here, I've being playing with players missing for weeks now. My own fault for being such a ruthless manager!

Good to know that I am not the only one to run out of subs, two of my players have been injured on and off for a while now. Note to self.. don't pick a completely usless team to start the season with next year.

If i'd known you'd all run out of subs, you could have had some of mine: I haven't used a single one all season

Yep, keeping an eye on the league and rustling up some monthly prizes and the big prize for year winner

A purely altruistic gesture, naturally...

Congratulations Geoff P.

I hung on for 2nd place, which following up my 1st place last season puts me on par with Alex Ferguson in Premier League terms, so can't complain.

I ended up having just 3 players who were in my original line-up :-

Starting XI
Foster / Carvalho, Ricketts, Clichy, Tompkins / Lampard, Kuyt, Milner, Cahill, Gerrard / Drogba

Final XI
Friedel / Dunne, Cuellar, Dawson, Insua / Lampard, Fabregas, Milner, Malouda / Torres, Drogba
