Faulty BD

Oh well, after 18 months of buying BD I have come across my first faulty effort. It was The Land of the Lost at index point 1hr 27 mins, it started to pixellate on the screen, jumping from one image to the next before finally pausing. After a quick clean clean the fault persisted. Luckily I managed to exchange it no problems without a receipt as it was a gift.

Has anyone else discovered a faulty Blu Ray yet?

In relation to DVD timescale, I have only experienced 5 faulty discs which is impressive for this format.

I had a faulty copy of Death Race , I sent it back and the new one was fine, also my brothers Che and Watchmen BD were noisy in both my Player and his PS3.

I rented There Will Be Blood from Lovefilm, and it started to pause intermittently about 30 minutes in, then froze.

I tried it in my PS3, and that refused to play it at all.

I returned it for a replacement, and started playback at the end of the scene. It played okay for about 10 minutes before getting stuck again! I ought to have made a tiny mark on the label, as I'm not sure if they sent me the same disc again ...
