I am trying to diagnose the fault on my cd player.

I recently switched it on, it appears to play discs perfectly, however no sound! I took the cover off but have no idea what I am looking for. The amp works with other sources, and i have swapped the connections around.

Anyone know how I could fix this?

I had that same problem - i think it was the output fuses(?)

Audiolab give a 2 year guarantee, so if you're first owner, take it back to the dealer.

Otherwise, email IAG (Audiolab Help Desk) directly, they're very helpful.

Thank you very much for that, it is the only component in my setup purchased second hand!

I will send them an email.

Hi,

I have changed the 2 of the 4 fuses as instructed by Audiolab, now I have sound, but its very faint, you can barely hear it (the amp is turned up!)

I have gone back to Audiolab, but I feel the guy I am dealing with doesn't know how to fix this problem, does anyone have any experience of this fault?

I guess next would be to replace all the fuses?

Thanks

Does anyone know of somewhere I could take this cd player to be fixed?

However not IAG as they are very expensive!

First I'd look online for a service manual, then replace all fuses with the correct ones. If that doesn't help it may be that a previous owner has used the wrong fuses and damaged something after them in the circuit.

Hi White,

An oldish thread so dont know if you have sorted out your Audiolab cd player. If you have not then try kevin @ the Audiocellar.
