Faulty arcam av250

When I switch the amp everything works as normal until the speakers come on. Then the amp just switches it self off.

i spoke to a local hi if shop and they said what could be wrong with and adviced they would end to send it to arcam... £350!!

any advice? I don't to pay all that money for it as I feel my money is better investing into a more up to date receiver. I have my eye on a yamaha rx-a1010.

Would this be a upgrade worth doing or do I cough up the £350?

If the amp powers up and shuts down when the speaker relay clicks there could be a problem with the speakers. Try powering the amp up without speakers if ok try adding one speakers at a time. Or use a mutli meter to test the speakers if you have one.
