Hi chaps,

thinking of selling my panasonic 42g20 which was purchased in September 2010 for £850 with a free blu ray player and 5 year warranty (if it actually covers anything that is)

what do you think would be a fair price? It might go to my parents so I don't want to over price it but no idea what a fair price would be? How much would you pay for one? If it does go to my parents will probably give them the blu ray player as well as they do t have one

any ideas would be appreciated.

cheers

I reckon about £200-£230.

It's surprising how quickly TVs drop in value.

If there are no problems with the TV it perhaps makes sense to keep it, especially since you've had problems with later models.

I regret selling my V20. You'll struggle to buy a better TV from any manufacturer until OLED TVs are affordable.

at the moment the g20 gets very little use, it's in the conservatory. The idea was to sell the g20 move the 'faulty within spec' 50gt50 to the conservatory and buy a new lounge tv, maybe Sony or Samsung. The lounge needs to be big and 3d so can't do a straight swap with my tv's. This is of course only a possibility if I don't get any where with my gt50 fault. At present I'm finding it difficult to find content that clearly shows the fault enough to pay to have an engineer come look at it. I need to make sure I get this right and if I can't, buying a new tv is a backup plan. Content at present is enough to annoy me but I don't think enough to get an engineer to say its broke :wall:
