Hi there
Wondered if I could ask some advice.
Just bought an LG LCD - 32LG3000. Very impressed with it, but am looking at hooking it up to my hi fi. My amp is the Sony TAFE570 and does not have optical output.
This leaves 2 options as far as I can see. 1) Use phono leads into a tv like it was a separate or 2) plug the amp in via the 3.5 headphone jack on the tv like an ipod (using phono - 3.5mm cable)
Only issue is I believe my TV does not have a phono audio output and as such am limited to the headphone jack. I would be grateful if someone could confirm my assumption to be correct.
No problem plugging it onto the headphone jack however I assume this will mute the TV? Is there anyway of plugging my hifi in to the tv via the headphone jack but keep the volume on the tv?
Also if anyone knows whether the following 5.1 system uses optical output?: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-X-540-Multimedia-Speaker-System/dp/B000LBHFMO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1240905562&sr=1-1
Cheers - Roscoe
