Really? Best keep quiet as thread will only get locked. ;-)

Just expressing my surprise at seeing an item that is according to the manufacturer no longer for sale still for sale. Surely not a lockable offence? *pardon*

Richard has told me he will not be taking any more orders and we have made it abundantly clear on this website that the products are no longer available. I will pass a message on to Richard and suggest he takes down his website.

Glad I've still got mine. And what's more they're the actual WHF test pair. Now I'm not even remotely suggesting that this pair were put together with extra special care and attention to detail because Richard knew they were headed for the WHF test bench, and so everything about them had to be absolutely top drawer because of all the potential huge publicity and glory riding on the prospect of a 5* review. But if he did, and they were, then how happy am I *dance4*

Richard Allen phoned me this morning and has confirmed that the EB Acoustics website has now been taken down, so you will no longer be able to buy the products. He has stopped making them.

I too feel a little sad that it has come to this. As a previous owner of one of the first pairs of EB1's produced ( about 4-5 weeks from order to delivery believe it or not) I know the actual product is real VFM.

If there is one thing better than owning a good product, its owning one that is rare.

Only if warranty issues/replacement parts are still covered.

It's a real problem with old cars but I don't think i've ever had a speaker that's malfunctioned and died from anything but abuse. So I think I'm fairly safe until I'm too old to care. And generally I'm not the luckiest of consumers; if anything's going to go wrong, then it'll be mine. For example long before Comet ceased trading, I stopped shopping there because easily 75% of all the electronic goods I ever bought from there were faulty at purchase, and it must run to dozens of items from watches to HiFi separates, home computers and peripherals, to white goods, over a period of many years. I assume they traded as long as they did because my experience wasn't typical.
