EB Acoustics EB 1 and arcam solo mini Advice.

Hi

Has Anyone out there got a pair of the above speakers ? How good are they ?

I want to put them with an Arcam Solo mini. I know the Arcam is only 25 wpc. but the Tech. guy at Arcam said they would be fine as their own Muso speakers are only 85db and the Solo Mini has a large current which is what counts (He said ! )

Any advice would be welcome.

No I don't have these speakers, WHFI rave over their sonic performance, so they must give a good fist of things.

You can drive almost any speaker with any amp, depending on size of your listening room, and - of course - how loud you like to play your music.

A 25 watt amp driving 85db speakers are fine in a small/medium sized room. However, if you like ear-bursting levels. . .then no, the Arcam nipper will be found wanting. Once I approached an Arcam consultant who said the full-size Solo was roughly the equivilent to the A65 Plus (my current amp). However, I wouldn't recommend a speaker of less 87db IMO.
