hi everyone

i have a acryan playon mini connected to a 4tb buffalo nas drive with over 300 dvd rips in mkv format on it,i am the only one who can use the playon as it is not the easiest to use.i need a streamer that does what the playon does but has an easy to use gui i would prefer to navigate by cover art for films as my family would be able to use it as well.would a boxee box be suitable? .my budget is £200 max don't need bluray or a games console and it won't be connected to any hifi equipment just hdmi to the tv

I have a PlayonHD! mini2 and its a doddle to use. You just navigate to where ur files are and press play, or setup a shortcut to it.

ie Filemanager-->Network-->WORKGROUP-->Nas-->Films

If u want coverart, have a look at the program tvixie. You just use ur computer once to download the boxart, movieinfo,cast etc. All u have to do is put each film in a separate folder, and then tell the program to go and find the boxart. Took me about 2 hours to do ~ 300 films (most of the time was creating the folders).

Whatever streamer u have - if u use dvd/bd rips u have to add the coverart yourself - it cant do it by magic. Coverart only gets included automatically when u buy & download stuff from a store, as its included in the meta-tags.
