Hi, I want to ask one thing. I have headphones Shure SRH 940 and DAC Dragonfly 1.2 on a laptop with Windows 8. It is connected and set to manual. The setting is without EQ. The sound is so sharp that it can not even listen. Do you think that the problem is an inappropriate choice of DAC and I chose a bad connection headphones - DAC? Thanks for the advice, Mike from Czech Republic. Sorry for my bad English.

what software are you using to playback? Try foobar and make sure the output is set to the dac, and not to directsound - that way you'll just be getting a proper full bypass of the windows mixer and it just goes straight to the dac.

I found that the problem is really in power USB ports on my laptop, after connecting to PC Dragonfly 1.2 work - but sincerely, do you think that the sound quality is dramatically better than the sound card in PC? Someone will definitely suit, but my subjective opinion is that at that price it is better to buy a Hi-res player than the DAC Dragonfly 1.2 - me personally very disappointing sound quality both character and sound administration dynamics and space in the recording. The sound I just do not like, that's also my aged iRiver T60 has a better filing space and dynamics, sound quality, I was disappointed with this DAC. Thank you for your help.
