Denon DCD 720AE

Hello,

I was wondering what peoples thoughts were about the Denon 720 AE cd player? Has anyone compared it to the Marantz 6004 or Cambridge Audio 351C? Thanks.

Yeah I bought it two weeks ago, and really dissapointed. Have an issue with assembly quality of denon dcd720, all the buttons are poorly centered.unit costing around 400 euros should be built better. Soundwise can't complain, I'm not an expert, but it sounds very good to my ears with combination of denon pma720, which has (surprise surprise quite a problem too) Turning volume knob between 10-11 o'clock produces static (crackling) noise.Will call Denon dealers later to see how they going to deal with these problems...I can't believe it when you spent around 800 euros you get a problems expected from 100 euros worth electronics.Can't tell about marantz, but since its the same make (both belongs to D&M) you can expect anything! My advice to stay away! Spend your money on something else not Denon!

Thanks for the reply. Shame about the problems as I've liked Denon equipment in the past. Does the sound quality make up for these problems?
