Denon AVR-X2200 vs Yamaha RX-V581

Which would you reccommend with my set up.

I don't have the ability to test as nowhere near me has them set up to test for me to listen.

Current set up;

Fronts - Q Acoustics 3050

Rears - Q Acoustics 3010

Centre - Q Acoustics 3090C

Only 3/4 Hdmi inputs needed

Mainly use for movies,tv and also listening to music in stereo.

...I have the 3050s, 3010s, 3090c and Denon 2300 which is almost identical to the 2200. I cannot speak for the Yamaha but I am really very pleased with what I have. The 3050s, however, took a fair bit of running in and Audyssey's calibration needed a fair bit of tweaking.

I had problems with the x2000 I bought off ebay so will be buying new.

Did you set the denon up with the manual settings for your 3050s

When I had the x2000 I had all speakers set to small except the Fronts and had no sub selected but still had issues

I used the calibration auto with no probs on the 3050s (just a tweak on L/R balance) but after calibration, the surrounds took some playing with in terms of both location, toe-in and output levels. More about my room I suspect.

I ended up going for the Yamaha, I managed to get one new for a good price and it sounds amazing
