Denon AVR-2310 made in China?

I've just picked up a Denon 2310 and notice that it is made in China rather than Japan. Does anyone know if this goes for all units? If not, is there a downside (or upside) to having the Chinese model?

The upside to it being made in China is that you're paying less for an excellent product, due to production costs being lower.

Quality-control etc will be no different; big names like Denon keep a close eye on such matters, regardless of country of manufacture.

Way of the World I'm afraid. Most goods are made in China now not just electricals.

But as Clare says big companies such as Denon will have stringent QC in place to ensure they and you are getting the product they want you to have.
