At around £700 this may seem an expensive bar given that it does not attempt 5.1 let alone 3D sound. However it is a seriously good stereo speaker. In 1917 the underlying soundtrack with its deep bass is well presented whilst dialogue and the bangs and whistles of war are clear and precise.Even without surround sound the soundstage is wide and enveloping ,
There are 2 optical inputs and a phono input (no ARC) so it can also be used as the output for hi-fi separates , there is an onboard 100W amplifier. Tracks from Qobuz at FLAC quality were impressive , as were CDs.
For those who want a versatile , high qulity stereo output for their TV this is simply superb
