I would greatly appreciate any reccomendations for a DAB with the above features. The apartment block I live in has very poor FM reception throughout, so strong reception is a must (I presume). I want to use it bedside with a speaker pillow (so need a headphone socket for this) and a snooze feature.

As an aside - is DAB even harder to get than the FM signal? If so, I would be happy with an analogue alternative.

Many thanks.

I would look at one of the Pure DAB radios. The one I use in the bedroom is the Pure Evoke 3 - it IS the most expensive in the range, but the sound is great and the alarm is easy to use. The snooze feature is operated by touching the handle! You can also make recordings (with a timer) on to an SD card.

The built in aerial works a treat, but you need to check whether there is a strong signal in your area:

Another alternative is the Pure Chronos, which can be bought with built-in CD player or iPod dock. However, the sound isn't early as good and you need a (possibly unsightly) wire antenna.

I'd be wary of the quality of reception you'd get off Pure radio's if you are in a weak signal area. I struggle with my Pure Evoke Flow to get a decent DAB and FM signal due to nearby trees, the radio has to be positioned in exactly the right spot on the window ledge to get an acceptable signal. I recently bought a Roberts 83i stream, which has the same trouble with the weak FM signal, but has excellent DAB reception which works well anywhere in the house.
