Panasonic 37" Plasma, Onkyo TX-SR606 Amp, Kef 1005.2 Surround Speaker Package,Sony Blu-ray BDP-S360,QED Silver Micro Cable. I have this system up and running a while now and i would be grateful for some feedback on my speaker crossover settings.I did auto speaker setup with amp and had to ajust some settings manually but have no clue about crossover frequency. In the speakers manual the crossover frequency is 3khz,and on the sub it tells you to turn up the crossover frequency to 140hz,the actual setting on the amp for all sats is a crossover frequency of 150hz ,would this setting be ok or is there a strain been put on the sub or sats.ive heard you can damaged sats/sub with the wrong settings ? HELP

Crossover set at 150 sounds about right.

Not familiar with your speakers but if they are sats rule of thumb and THX recommendation is set sats to small Xover @80hz

set sub at 120HZ or match nearer sat setting , experiment and see , not implying that 150 is incorrect as it comes down to personal choice

Make sure you setup bass management on you amp correctly for the new setup

KEF KHT1005.2 HOME CINEMA SPEAKER SYSTEM (GLOSS BLACK) SPECIFICATIONS

Frequency response (Hz): SATELLITES & CENTRE: 120 - 30,000

SUBWOOFER: 30 - 150 (approx)

A receiver crossover of between 140 and 150hz would be correct for the above speakers, given their frequency response.
