To connect the amp up to the TV to get picture, yes. Presumably you want to connect something to the amp as well though? If you want the TVs sound to come out of your speakers, you're best bet is to hook it up using the optical output.

At the moment I just have the PZ81 and 875. Have got an old amp and surround speakers (10 years old) the speakers are SS-V305 part of a TA-VE 150 integrated AV amp.

Saving up for KEF KHT3005se and PS3 around Nov/Dec time.

So optical from TV to amp. Whats best cable from amp to speakers (when I get them)?

Thanks

HW A question about the PZ81, how are you getting on with it, is the picture very good, do you run through Sky dish or Freeview aerial, i am looking to buy this but some said picture was not that great, PX was better.

Swampy - My main concern when buying it was how good football and film would be on it. I've watched film through a PS3 which was fantastic and i've watched football on SD on ITV and sky sports and both have been great. Some channels do look bad but the majority are great but I do feel alot is down to poor quality through Sky!

I have Sky and freesat running through it. I do however prefer the picture through freesat, especially when watching football on ITV as when comparing the transmissions through PAP there is a massive difference between the two pics. I thought Sky was meant to be a far better picture!?
