Some settings on the Denon will give u 'surround' (3.1 in your case) but its almost certainly going to sound better in 2.0 or 2.1

Try 2.0 stereo but if it lacks bass try 2.1 which sometimes means swapping front speaker size from small to large. Always go for least processing first. Listen for a while before changing settings.

Sorry I misread yr post. My ideas were more for music. It seems yr centre is not working at all. Cant really help - it seems like you need to change the dsp setting from 2ch to movie - Im not familiar with this Denon.

Manual p99? music mode

What mode is your AV amp in? Does it say 2-Channel on the display?
It says stereo on the screen of AVR and my media player is connected VIA HDMI cable

That makes it sound like one of the settings somewhere is set to stereo instead of 3.1. I don't have any experience with Denon AVR's but with my Yamaha one it only says stereo on the display when it's set to stereo.

Have a look through some of the setup menus see if there is anything that looks like it could switch it from stereo (or 2.0) mode to multi-channel (or 3.1) or something similar.

Also make sure you have pure direct mode switched off as this mode will automatically default to two channel audio.

thanx for the response as you said when I choose movie mode then the sound starts to come through center speaker.
