Celestion F20 speakers??

Came across a pair of these floorstanders in a second hand shop near me today. They look immaculate, still got the original packaging. I also noticed they are bi-wireable. Shop wants £120 for them. Is that a reasonable price? these speakers any good? Basically are they worth a punt for 120 quid?

Nothing in WHF reviews on Celestion, so will have a look in internet to see what I can find. But if any of you guys know this speaker wouldn't mind hearing what you think of them.

heard them several times.they are good speakers.a bit thin sounding with low volume, very detailed.going op on volume produces great bass.I like them.here in Portugal i can get them for 179 euros.new!.but I doubt they can produce more bass than your br1's.

Bought the BR1s about a week after I bought the Denon, so nothing at home to compare them against. However, I did to some comparisns at the Hi Fi retailers when looking for speakers. Looked at MS902i, Wharfedale 9.0 and 9.1, Tannoy F1 and the BR1s.

The best, to me, were the Tannoys and the BR1s. Very little to choose between them, both sounded great. My final decision was made on size (BR1s a bit smaller) , looks and overall finish. Thought the BR1s had the edge on looks, real nice looking without the grills. Also I wanted a black finish and the shop did not have the Tannoys in black. So decision made.

Have never regretted my choice.

You are right, Hyperfi have these F20s at £99, everyone else seems to have them at £199. Not sure whats going on there!

heard br2 and br5 and im pretty sure i can't live with them, but had a quick listen to the br1 and those seemed more balanced than their bigger brothers.i can get a pair for 199 euros(demo model).but I am also tempted for the f20 at 179 euros(new boxed)
