CD Player/amp with wireless speakers

I would like to use a CD player with wireless speakers in various rooms and would appreciate any advice on the simplest way to do this. Ideally I just want an updated version of the simple CD/amp and speaker system, only wireless. I do not want to control anything via a smartphone, tablet, PC, router, etc. I am happy to buy a new system if anything suitable is out there. Any advice appreciated.

From the lack of response most, if not all, wireless, multiroom systems rely on a computer network and some kind of handheld device to operate.

If you are determined to avoid the network approach then your options are really limited. A CD player and amp with a line (Zone2 or Record) output driving simple wireless speakers such as the JBL Control Air will work after a fashion but offer nothing like the flexibility and performance of a network setup.
