Looks like a bargain to me. I'm still a film SLR man, but the quality of digital seems to be getting better all the time. Maybe It's time to take the plunge into digital SLR waters..

By the way, I have the 70-300 lens that is in the package. It's a good 'un, and cost me over three hundred quid a few years back.

well i thought it a good deal so bought one - seems to be getting voted cold on there but still waiting for someone to post it cheaper - think just another case of people voting cold on stuff they know nothing about

That is a good price, my wife got hers with the 2 Canon lenses from her Catalogue. The images really stand out on the TV. Excellent camera but I think it is about to be superceded.
