Cannot get output from Benq W1080st thru HTPC HDMI via Yamaha RX-V773

I have recently purchased and set up a Benq W1080st I have Sky HD and an HTPC all running thru yamaha rx-V773 avr which has a Panasonic Plasma connected to hdmi output 1 and the W1080St connected to hdmi output 2. The Sky Hd box outputs to the W1080St with no problem. The HTPC will show windows 7 starting up and even going so far as the blue welcome screen but when it goes into windows 7 the W1080st only shows the yamaha wallpaper screen even though there is a signal detected. I am using an HTPC with an intel I7 2nd Generation CPU with inbuilt Intel 3000 graphics. Can anybody help as I am pulling my hair out as i have a large movie collection which is held on my HTPC

The Resolution on the PC may be set too high too display through your projector i had an old Panny Plasma that had a similar issue

resoulution of pc is 1920 x 1080 and the W1080st an cope with that resoulution with no probs thanks for your input though.
